Ski Camp Switzerland for kids with language courses

Our chalet sits between two fantastic ski areas, with plenty of private space for games, activities and good times together. Every week, we also cross the world-famous Peak Walk by Tissot, a suspension bridge connecting two mountain peaks, with views you’ll want to tell everyone about!

Can’t get enough of the slopes? Stay out a little longer! Prefer heading back earlier to relax at the chalet? That works, too. With a hot buffet lunch available from 2 pm to 5 pm, both early birds and last-run enthusiasts can return to a warm meal.

For those joining our optional language lessons, small groups mean plenty of personal attention and time to get talking. Games, shared interests and a good dose of laughter keep things lively, because learning should feel like part of the adventure!

Ski area & accommodation at the Filolo winter camp

Location & Accommodation
The chalet is idyllically situated on a small hill in a very peaceful location at the edge of the forest. We’re perfectly located right between the two ski areas of Villars-Gryon-Les Diablerets and Glacier 3000, so after skiing or snowboarding, you can go straight inside from the cold and to the warmth of your home from home. In the morning it is just a few meters to the ski bus, which takes us to the ski station in just 5 minutes. The huge private property gives us plenty of space for recreation, relaxation and our colourful afternoon and evening program after skiing.

Our four-story house comes with its own fun park, an indoor halfpipe and a sauna. We have the benefit of a quiet and very safe location whilst only being a 10 min walk away from the village, where you’ll find small shops and amenities.

Ski Camp FAQ

Can my child join as a complete beginner in skiing or snowboarding?

Absolutely! Your child is welcome even if they have never skied or snowboarded before. They will join a beginner group, where our dedicated instructors help them learn the basics step by step. We welcome different ability levels, and our team is qualified and experienced in adapting our approach so children can learn at a pace that suits them.

How are ski and snowboard groups organised for different skill levels?

Children are placed in groups according to their skiing or snowboarding ability, from beginners to more advanced participants. On Mondays, we make a full assessment in which we factor in not only skill but also motivation, stamina, experience, group dynamics and friendship requests. These groups remain flexible throughout the week.

Our instructors follow each child’s progress and, if a group becomes too easy or too challenging, we can move them to a more suitable one. But kids are also invited to give feedback. The aim is for every child to feel comfortable, enjoy learning and receive the right support.

How much time will my child spend skiing or snowboarding each day?

Children can enjoy up to 25 hours of skiing or snowboarding per week, depending on the weather, slope conditions and their energy levels. When conditions allow, those who want to keep skiing can stay on the slopes with our team until around 4 pm. Children who feel tired can return to camp earlier with staff members.

After breakfast, children prepare a snack pack to take to the slopes. A hot late lunch buffet is then available at camp between 2 pm and 5 pm, allowing everyone to eat a warm meal when they return. A warm dinner buffet is served later in the evening. We always offer a wide variety in order to meet individual preferences as well as, of course, all the different dietary requirements.

On top of that, fruit and sweet and savoury snacks are at their disposal throughout the day.

Back at camp, children remain supervised. We offer a mix of afternoon and evening activities: supervised free time to rest after a long day on the slopes, as well as animated afternoon and evening activities with our activity team, giving the participants time to relax and to have fun with other campers.

Can my child join if they are slightly younger than 10?

Yes, we are happy to welcome nine-year-olds by individual agreement. For younger children, we consider their skiing or snowboarding experience and, especially, how comfortable they are managing everyday routines away from home. If your child already has experience and is sufficiently independent, please contact us before booking so we can discuss whether the camp would be a good fit.

What is included in the camp price, and is equipment rental extra?

Our camp price includes up to 25 hours of skiing or snowboarding per week, subject to conditions, as well as full-board accommodation, snacks, a ski pass with access to 4 ski resorts including Glacier 3000, daytime activities and an evening programme. Transport between the accommodation and the ski slopes and registration fees are also included.

Ski or snowboard equipment, optional afternoon language lessons and arrival and departure travel to and from camp are not included. Children are invited to bring their own equipment or rent it from us for an additional fee.

Are language lessons optional or included, and what will my child do if they don’t take them?

Yes, language lessons are completely optional. Children can add German, English or French lessons for a surcharge. These take place in the afternoon.

Children who do not take language lessons join a programme organised by our activity team. They remain supervised, with activities that encourage them to get involved, make friends and enjoy their time together.

How are children supervised on the slopes, during free time and overnight?

Children are supervised throughout their entire stay, including on the slopes, during meals and activities, in their free time and overnight. Our overall camp staff-to-child ratio is approximately 1:4, meaning one staff member for an average of four children.

Staff accompany the ski and snowboard groups, while our activity team supervises children back at camp.

Overnight supervision: Our teams stay in the same group house as the participants, sleeping in separate and clearly assigned staff rooms. We organise active bedtime and wake-up duties but no night watch; eventually, all our staff members go to bed at some point. All staff in general, but of course particularly the assigned staff members, are on duty should an emergency occur during the night’s rest. Kids are told and shown where our team members sleep.

Can my child share a room with a friend or sibling?

Yes! Friends and siblings of the same gender can share a room. Let us know who your child would like to share with in the comments section when you book, and we are happy to arrange the rooms accordingly. Boys and girls strictly stay in separate rooms.

We also offer a CHF 50 friend or sibling discount.

Do you offer accompanied travel or airport transfers to and from the camp?

Yes! We offer accompanied train travel to and from camp via Zurich HB and Geneva Cornavin for an extra fee. Children travel with members of our team.

We also offer transfers to and from Geneva Airport. These travel services cost extra and can be selected when booking. Families are also welcome to bring their child directly to camp and collect them at the end of their stay.
