Summer Camp in Switzerland 2026

Our summer camp in St.Cergue is located in an extremely quiet and safe location in the middle of the Jura Vaudois Nature Park. Our massive private complex is perfectly suited for all of our indoor and outdoor activities, which includes group games, cooking courses, art classes, sports on our very own football and basketball grounds and much more!

When it comes to our language courses we offer a unique student-teacher ratio guaranteeing a maximum class size of 6 kids per teacher.

Accommodation in the Filolo Summer Camp

Accommodation & Location
The small village of St.Cergue has a population of around 3000, and is located on the picturesque Jura plateau at an altitude of around 1000m. We are only a 35 mins drive away from Geneva airport and beautiful Lausanne.

A short walk from our Language Camp takes us to the Chèvrerie-Monteret train station, from where we can quickly and easily reach all of our excursion destinations such as high ropes parc, lasergame or the historic old towns of Nyon, Geneva and Lausanne.

Food
In our Swiss summer camp in the Jura Mountains, food is also the focus, as our own kitchen team specially prepare meals that offer a perfect blend of flavour and nutrition. Exect freshly prepared meals using locally sourced vegetables, meat, butter and honey, as well as fresh milk and of course, the famous handmade Swiss cheese! We do, of course, cater to dietary requirements of all shapes and sizes, from the casual dislikes to the potentially fatal - just be sure to let us know and our kitchen team will have you covered!

Day Camp
Fancy an unforgettable week at Filolo camp, but you would prefer to sleep at home? No problem! If you live nearby, you can simply choose our day camp option. Join us each day for our breakfast buffet starting at 8.30 am. After your language or sports course, you can take part in workshops, excursions and the exciting evening programme, which ends at around 9.30 pm. Of course, you can keep your daily arrival and departure flexible and we can decide together each day when and which programme you would like to take part in.

Booking & Organisation

Can a child attend for one or multiple weeks?

Participation for one or multiple weeks is possible. If a child stays for several weeks, they remain in the camp over the weekend and take part in the supervised weekend program.

How is the registration confirmed?

After registration, a confirmation email is sent immediately. The invoice is usually sent within two days.

Can travel details be decided later?

Yes, travel details can be confirmed after booking once flights or train connections are finalized.

How are children assigned to groups?

Children are grouped based on age and language level to ensure a comfortable and balanced group dynamic.

Can friends stay in the same room?

Room preferences can be indicated during registration and are considered whenever possible.

How are shy children supported?

Through small groups, team activities, and active supervision, children quickly integrate and feel comfortable.

Program & Daily Routine

What does a typical day look like?

A typical day includes language lessons in the morning, activities or excursions in the afternoon, and an engaging evening program.

How many children participate?

The number of participants varies. In spring, the atmosphere is often more relaxed and family-like.

What activities are included?

Outdoor games, sports, creative workshops, excursions, and evening group activities are all included.

Which languages are offered?

French, English, and German are offered for all levels.

How are levels assigned?

A placement test determines the level. Groups are adjusted if necessary.

How many lesson hours are included?

Approximately 15 hours of language lessons per week are included.

How big are the classes?

Classes are limited to a maximum of six participants per teacher for intensive learning.

What are the rooms like?

Shared rooms are standard. Smaller rooms are available at an additional cost.

What should children bring?

A packing list is provided in advance. Sleeping bag, towel, and personal items are required.

Is there free time?

Yes, supervised free time is part of the program.

Food & Health

Can allergies be accommodated?

Yes, dietary requirements can be accommodated at no extra cost.

How are medications handled?

Medications are safely stored and administered when necessary.

What happens if a child gets sick?

Parents are informed and a doctor is consulted if needed.

Is insurance required?

Valid health and accident insurance is recommended.

How is supervision organized?

Children are supervised 24/7 with clear rules and a safe environment.

What rules apply in the camp?

Respectful behavior, structured routines, and clear phone rules ensure a positive experience.

Phones & Updates

What are the phone rules?

Phones may be used for about one hour per day and are otherwise securely stored.

How do parents receive updates?

Updates are shared through the Filolo Parents Club with photos and news.

Travel & Transfers

What are the arrival times?

Details are shared before the camp. Arrival is Sunday, departure is Saturday.

Is accompanied travel available?

Yes, accompanied train travel from Zurich and Geneva is available.

Are airport transfers available?

Transfers from Geneva are standard, from Zurich available on request.

Is the unaccompanied minor service supported?

Yes, the service is included in airport transfers.

Payment & Invoice

When is the invoice sent?

The invoice is usually sent within two days after registration.

Can we pay in EUR?

Yes, payment is possible based on the current exchange rate.

What if we did not receive the email?

Are discounts available?

Discounts can be indicated during registration and will be confirmed on the invoice.

What should children pack?

Layered clothing, comfortable shoes, and personal essentials are recommended.
