FILOLO students attending a language class

Is this camp right for my child?

Language progress that parents can realistically expect

  1. Speak with more confidence

With 15 hours of lessons per week and small, level-based groups of up to six students, every student has more opportunities to speak, ask questions and participate actively.

  2. Learn at the right level

Students are grouped according to their current language ability, not simply their age. This allows teachers to adapt the lessons so that each student feels challenged without feeling overwhelmed.

  3. Meaningful progress, not instant fluency

One week can noticeably strengthen a child’s speaking confidence, motivation and willingness to use the language.

We do not promise fluency after only a few days!

The goal is meaningful progress, positive experiences and a child who returns home more willing to speak than when they arrived.

Location & Accommodation

Space to learn, relax and enjoy the view

The cosy little town of St. Cergue is located in the Jura Vaudois Nature Park, nestled between Lausanne and Geneva, and about 10 km northwest of Nyon. From almost anywhere in the property, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc.

The house itself is a two-story building containing several spacious bedrooms, multiple classrooms, toilets and showers and a professionally equipped kitchen - as well as a massive terrace. Overall, there’s enough space inside and outside for our workshops, evening programmes and the much needed chill time at the end of the day.

Adventure

Learning continues beyond the classroom

At Filolo the learning experience doesn’t stop in the classroom, and the real adventure begins once the lessons are over. Our jam-packed activity programme includes workshops, three weekly excursions, and a full schedule of evening activities, all of which will incorporate your target language.

Some of our most popular activities include go-karting, hikes through the Alps, and movie-making workshops. Don’t sweat though - you will also get some much-needed chill time around the house and by the lake with your new pals!
